For this reason, the figure of the person in charge of sustainability is present within the company in order to guarantee a 360 ° management of issues of social responsibility and environmental sustainability. The main objective of the manager is to continuously evaluate and improve the environmental and social impact, internal and external, of the activities carried out.
CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is defined by the ISO26000 standard as "the responsibility of an organization for the impacts of its decisions and activities on society and the environment. Through ethical and transparent behavior that contributes to sustainable development, it takes into account the expectations of stakeholders, is in compliance with applicable law, is consistent with international standards of behavior, is integrated into the whole organization and is specifically implemented in its relations."
The CSR manager reconciles the economic objectives with the contribution that the company can make to the community, to the territory and to all the stakeholders. The Corporate social responsibility manager is the corporate figure that brings the culture of sustainability to the company, taking care of its social responsibility.
